Ruth Anne Breithaupt - Pastor

Ruth Anne Breithaupt has served at Highview Community Church in various roles since it began in 1987, the past five of those years as our senior pastor. Her passion is to help people live to their fullest potential, according to who God created them to be. This passion drives her leadership, her interpersonal relationships, her quest for ongoing education and her travels to other parts of the world to see what God is doing there.

Ruth Anne is married to Ken and together they have two grown children and two grandchildren. When not at Highview, Ruth Anne can most likely be found in Thailand with 15 very special orphans, or at the family cottage in Georgian Bay, on the dock!

Ian Peers - Children's Ministries & Student Education Director

Ian Peers has been at Highview Community Church since October 2007. He really enjoys being part of this community. He also enjoys teaching, spending time with children, and hanging out with the youth. He believes that he works with the best cast of volunteer staff in the world!

He and his wife Renee work together at the church. He is devoted wholeheartedly to his wife and is thankful everyday for the opportunity to work for Christ as co-labourers in His service.

Ian has recently developed a love for racquetball. He enjoys taking risks and pushing himself to reach new limits. He's an avid reader of Christian theology, leadership books on ministry to young people, history, philosophy, and psychology.

On occasion he's known to burst out in a song from the 90's and acts like he's got a few nuts and bolts loose in his mind.

Most of all . . . he just wants to live his life for Jesus. He loves God with all his heart and wants to serve him with all he has.

Renee Peers - Congregational Life Director

We are happy to welcome back Renee Peers from maternity leave. Renee and her husband Ian were blessed with their son Quin after a long journey towards adoption.

Before going on leave, Renee was the Student Ministries Director. But in light of the current needs at Highview and in light of Renee's gifts and passions she has embraced the role of Congregational Life Director. In various ways, Renee will be looking at ways of creating better pathways for people to connect with God and each other.
